MFL MarMac High School is proud to offer our approximately 250 students the best educational experience to prepare them for their future. We offer rigorous core academic classes, real-world vocational applications, and challenging and fun activities. Our students can also enroll in a variety of college classes. Our staff is committed to developing students who are college- and career-ready citizens.

  • Hawkeye Community College will be here in Learning Commons to meet with interested Juniors and Seniors on Monday, Sept 27th from 12:30 – 1:30.  If you would like to sign up to attend, please email Ms. Smith for a pass.

  • If you are interested in trying out for the Fall Musical, Seussical the Musical, please sign up at the high school office. Tryout materials will be available for interested students beginning Monday, Sept. 27th.

Tryout dates are:

Thursday, Sept. 30th 6:00-8:00 and

Friday, October 1st 3:30-6:00

If you would like to try out and these dates do not work for you, alternate arrangements could be made. Let Ms. Jones know and she will put you in touch with Diane.

Performance Dates:

Wednesday, November 10th 9:00 for the elementary

Friday, November 12th at 7:30

Saturday, November 13th at 2:00 and 7:30

There is also a need for non-speaking roles: stagehands, lights and sound directors, set crew and design, etc…much help is needed. Please let Ms. Jones know if you are interested in volunteering for any of these roles.

  • Any FFA member interested in going on the Ag industry tour on September 30 should reach out to Ms. Wille for an application

  • Community Service Opportunities: 

    • Volunteers are needed to help with the GRRR in McGregor on Saturday, October 2nd, beginning at 7 a.m.  Volunteers can collect Community Service or Silver Cord hours and will receive a free t-shirt and pancake breakfast.  Those interested should call 563-873-2186 or email for more information.

    • Mrs. Kelly Winter is looking for student volunteers to help with girls rec volleyball on Sundays in McGregor, on 9/26 from 1-6pm and on 10/10 from 1-4.  Please contact her if you are interested by emailing
