Indiana Fever Roster Moves
This off-season the Indiana Fever have been upgrading their roster. Their team and new players are extremely excited for this new 2025 season. First, the Indiana Fever started by firing their head coach at the end of their 2024 season. They fired their coach Christie Sides and hired the 2023 coach of the year Stephenie White. The Fever started off their recruiting process by re-signing their 6 year star Kelsey Mitchell. “I’m thrilled that Kelsey is returning to Fever. She has been an integral part of this franchise from the moment she was drafted,” says the head coach Stephenie White.
Then, The Indiana Fever picked up four free agents. The Fever picked up Dewanna Bonner who is a veteran All-Star, guard/small forward. She played five seasons with the Connecticut Sun. Then they picked up Natasha Howard who is also an All-Star forward. She was with the Dallas Wings for only one season after going to multiple teams. She was drafted in 2014. Next, Indiana acquired Brianna Turner from the Chicago Sky. She is also a forward. Lastly, they collected Sydney Colson from the Las Vegas Aces. Sydney Colson is a guard and she was a 2 time champion with the Aces.
Then, the Indiana Fever traded their forward Nalyssa Smith in a 3 way trade with the Dallas Wings and the Phoenix Mercury. They acquired Sophie Cunningham. She is a guard and she is 6’1 which is very tall for a female guard.
Overall the Indiana Fever had lots of updates and new additions to their team. The Indiana Fever are ranked 4th in the WNBA for the preseason rankings. We will see how this team plays together on May 5th. The Fever play in Carver Hawkeye arena which is where their star Caitlin Clark went to college.
