Board Workshop

October 24, 2022

A Board Workshop was held on October 24, 2022, at The Luana Tap, Luana, Iowa at 6:00 pm.

President Gina Roys called the workshop to order at 6:02 pm.  Members present at roll call were Gina Roys, Roberta Hass, Tonya Meyer, Josh Grau, Dr. Jon Moser, Aaron Schroeder and Collin Stubbs.  Also present were Erik Peterson, Pam Havlicek, Lindsey Fisk, Megan Schellhorn, Dr. Dale Crozier; Superintendent, and Karla Hanson; Board Secretary.

Discussion involved the plan outlined by Grundmeyer Leader Services to assist in the recruitment and hiring of the next Superintendent.  Fees for this service will be around $10,000.00.  All the advertising, background checks, employment verification, etc., will be done by the firm, but the MFL MarMac Board of Education will make the final decision as to which candidate will be chosen to replace Dr. Crozier.

It was agreed that an in-person meeting with Trent Grundmeyer should be the next step.  Dr. Crozier will reach out to him and schedule a special meeting.

Workshop adjourned at 6:35 pm.
