MFL MarMac Community School
Minutes for Special Meeting,
November 30, 2022
The MFL MarMac Special Meeting of the Board of Directors was held on November 30, 2022, in the Learning Commons of the Monona Schoolhouse.
President Gina Roys called the meeting to order at 7:02 am. Members present at roll call were Gina Roys, Roberta Hass, Josh Grau, and Aaron Schroeder. Dr. Jon Moser, Tonya Meyer and Collin Stubbs, who were unable to attend in person due to travel and work obligations, joined via Zoom. Also present was Karla Hanson; Board Secretary. Visitors were recognized and welcomed.
The purpose of this special meeting was to review the Stakeholder Survey Report compiled by Grundmeyer Leading Services (GLS), the company hired to assist in the Superintendent search. GLS was represented by Roger Wilcox and Shanlee McNally, both joining via Zoom. The report was designed to inform the board about the qualifications the survey participants feel are desirable for the next Superintendent. Strengths, current challenges, important professional skills and qualifications, and important personal traits or qualities were identified.
The Board decided to change the timeline for the hiring process slightly. The December 12 School Board Meeting time was changed from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with a closed session planned to review the candidates. Candidate screening will be at 4:30 pm on December 19. Final interviews will take place on January 16, 2023.
Community members who are interested in being involved in the interview process should contact Karla Hanson.
The meeting adjourned at 7:37 am.
Respectfully submitted,
Karla Hanson
Board Secretary
