Special Meeting

The MFL MarMac Special Meeting of the Board of Directors was held on May 22, 2024, in the Learning Commons of the Monona Schoolhouse.

President Gina Roys called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.  Members present at roll call were Tonya Meyer, Roberta Hass, Aaron Schroeder, Danielle Schlake, Josh Grau and Dr. Jon Moser.  Tim Dugger; Superintendent, and Karla Hanson; Board Secretary/Treasurer were also present.

Brian Stark, Martin Gardner Architects, and Greg Formanek, UBC, were present to discuss possible changes in the proposed crow’s nest project.   Change orders to the windows, overhead doors and exterior finish of the building will decrease the total cost by approximately $38,000.  The board discussed construction timelines and other options to assess if there were more ways to reduce the cost for the district.

Motion by Dr. Moser, seconded by Tonya Meyer, to approve the revised quote and to begin the project immediately.  Ayes from:  Gina Roys, Tonya Meyer, Roberta Hass, Danielle Schlake, Josh Grau and Dr. Jon Moser.  Nay vote received from Aaron Schroeder.  Motion passed.

President Roys adjourned the meeting at 12:26 p.m.
