Regular Monthly Minutes
April 8, 2019

The MFL MarMac Board of Education held its regular monthly board meeting on April 8, 2019, in the high school media center of the Monona schoolhouse.

President Roys called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present at roll call were Sharon Greener, Gina Roys, Collin Stubbs, and Tonya Meyer. Absent at roll call were Jonathon Moser, Josh Grau, and Brian Meyer. Also present were Dale Crozier, Superintendent, Larry Meyer, High School Principal, Denise Mueller, Middle School Principal, Kathy Koether, Elementary Principal, and Cindy Koons, Board Secretary. Visitors were welcomed and recognized.

Motion by T. Meyer, seconded by Greener, to approve the agenda as presented. The motion was unanimously carried.

Motion was made by Greener to approve the following consent items from the agenda:

  • Minutes from the March 11, 2019, board meeting.
  • Bills against the district as listed: General Fund: $240,073.22; Management Fund: $500.00; Capital Projects: $19,450.77; PPEL: $25,064.60; Clearing Account: $35,494.61; Food Service: $18,937.89; HAWC: $42,491.62; Little Bulldog Childcare Center: $4,870.32; Dr. Smith Childcare: $3,649.82.
  • The Secretary’s Report, Activity Report, and Food Service Report will be filed subject to audit.

Stubbs seconded the motion and it was unanimously carried.

Motion by T. Meyer, seconded by Stubbs to approve the contract for Jillian Haberichter, for 2019-2020 Special Education Teacher, and the resignations for Josh Tayek, Paraprofessional, and Jennelle Schroeder, District Nurse. The motion was unanimously carried.

Motion by Stubbs, seconded by Greener, to approve the 28E sharing agreements with Postville for Guidance and Transportation, Central for Curriculum, and Eastern Allamakee for Superintendent for the 2019-2020 school year. The motion was unanimously carried.

The Physical Plant and Equipment Levy election results were tabled until the May School Board meeting.

Brian Meyer present at 7:06 p.m.

The principal reports were given.

Superintendent’s Update:

  • Discussion and update regarding the Safety Committee meetings and progress.

The next monthly board meeting will be held May 13, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. at the middle school media center in the McGregor schoolhouse.
