Hailey Corlett and Emme Schroeder reported that in the high school all fall sports have wrapped up and winter sports have begun practicing.  The musical, The Adam’s Family, was a huge success.  FFA members recently fed the farmers who were transporting grain to the river and also attended the National Convention.  Band members are participating UIC Honor Band, Legacy is getting ready for competition, NHS had its induction ceremony.  The Veteran’s Day program was well attended again.

Denise Mueller gave the Middle School report.  Items of interest included:  School of the Wild, end of fall sports and beginning of winter sports, possibly looking into a split season for the girls now that girl’s wrestling has been sanctioned by the State, co-teaching continues to be successful, Red Ribbon Week and Character Ed Day, Fall concert, and the entire McGregor Center was able to attend the HS Musical.

Larry Meyer expounded up what Hailey and Emme reported for the high school.  Senior class pictures were taken in Decorah, Rob Sand presented the PIE Award to the District, Etiquette Trip to UIU, Mock Interviews.  There was discussion about starting a soccer team.  Approximately 80 students expressed interest.  Realistically, this won’t happen until the Spring of 2024.

Kathy Koether, Elementary Principal, reported 97% attendance for elementary conferences.  The winter concert will be on December 14, snack packs are being given out weekly to 40-50 students, construction is progressing on the addition and we are hoping for a mid-January completion date.

Dr. Crozier will work with local leaders to talk about community issues following a recent vandalism incident.  He reiterated his commitment to the District despite this being his last year.  There are many things yet to accomplish this year.

The meeting adjourned at 7:07 pm.

The next meeting will be on December 12 at 12:00 pm in the Zoom Room off the Learning Commons of the Monona Building.

Respectfully submitted,

Karla Hanson, Board Secretary
